Although
we are a young business, the principal owners bring a combined total of more
than 30 years of experience in custom cabinet design, construction and
installation to the cabinet industry. We
share an even longer resumé of business ownership, management and community
service.
Jim,
a Marble Falls High School graduate (1972) has been in and around the wood working
industry most of his life; Anthony, Burnet High School Salutatorian (1989) cut
his teeth in cabinet design at a major retail distributor while attending Texas
A&M University; and Scott, MFHS (1997) worked his way to a degree at Texas
A&M (2006) as a trim carpenter.
All
three came together and honed their skills at a local cabinet shop before
joining forces at tradition.
Although,
their paths to tradition
were somewhat varied, the three partners objectives as a company are quite the
same.
At tradition, we have a genuine
passion for our craft and are committed to giving our customers the best we
have to offer. We fully understand that while building or remodeling a home can
be one of the most important and exciting things our customers may ever do, it
can also be confusing and stressful. It
is our goal to make that process as easy as possible for everybody involved.
We
specialize in traditional face-frame style cabinetry. We believe it to be a stronger, more durable
product than a pure European-style cabinet.
We can, however, provide what we call a hybrid-style that combines the
strength of the face frame cabinet, with the clean, simple lines of a Euro
design.
We
use the best quality materials including solid pine for our drawer boxes and
all wood veneer-core sheet products. We
never use particle board or laminated plastic.
We purchase all of our materials from distributors in central
Wood
species we are using the most include Alder (rustic and clear), Hickory,
Cherry, Maple, Red Oak, White Oak and Poplar (for our paint grade cabinets). Of
course we will build your cabinets out of any species of wood you want, depending
on availability.
We
offer a variety of door styles, all produced in our shop, including raised
panel, flat panel and shaker. Multiple
panel, glass and oval top doors are also available.
We
use only top-quality, full extension drawer slides and fully concealed hinges
for our doors. We can provide a full
line of specialty features such as Lazy Susans, spice racks, trash roll-outs,
and cookie tray dividers, to name a few.
Whether
you are building from the ground up or remodeling an existing kitchen;
whether
you need a whole house full of cabinets or just a new vanity for a bathroom…
we
at tradition
want to help make the entire process as enjoyable as possible.
In
our photo galleries, you will see pictures of some of our work. You will get a
better idea of the different styles we are capable of building, but remember
that we are definitely not limited to just these. Bring us your idea, or
let us show you some others we have.
Either way, let’s “Build with tradition” together.
Enjoy!

Anthony and Scott
